MSc Programme

SAIC’s MSc programme is designed to make studying for an aquaculture-related MSc more accessible, offering funded places at nine Scottish universities.

MSc Programme

Key to each funded place is that students undertake their MSc applied research project on an industry-identified issue, giving them a heightened awareness of the challenges and opportunities faced by the sector.

Research topics will preferably have a relevance to one or more of SAIC's PIAs (Priority Innovation Areas): 1 Finfish health & welfare, 2 Unlocking sector capacity, 3 Shellfish and other non-finfish species.

In addition, SAIC’s MSc initiative hosts a series of industry perspectives workshops throughout the academic year, where aquaculture MSc students can hear directly from industry, make valuable connections for the future and forge ties with their peers at other universities.
