Scottish Ocean Cluster stakeholder engagement workshops

The Scottish Ocean Cluster is organising a series of stakeholder engagement workshops in early 2026 to inform the future delivery and priorities of the Cluster in Scotland.

The workshops will focus on how seafood and marine side-streams caught, landed, farmed, and processed in Scotland can be better utilised, with contributions from industry, biotechnology, and academic stakeholders.

The sessions are intended for fishing and aquaculture businesses, processors, biotechnology companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and academic and research teams.

Participants will also hear from Dr Alexandra Leeper of the Iceland Ocean Cluster, who will attend each workshop and share experience from international ocean cluster development and the 100% Fish initiative, providing relevant context for Scotland’s approach to seafood side-stream utilisation.

Workshops will take place in Glasgow (13 January), Fraserburgh (14 January), and Oban (16 January).

Attendance is limited and expressions of interest should be submitted to enquiries@scottishoceancluster.com. Representatives from the Scottish Ocean Cluster will also be present at the Fisheries, Conservation & Sustainability Conference 2026, taking place on 7–8 January at the Lyell Centre, Heriot-Watt University.
