Rob Wilson

Rob's first association with agriculture was back in 1988 when he joined one of the Nutreco owned feed companies as a Junior Accountant. He stayed here till 2000 when he was given the opportunity to join Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd (now Mowi), first as Chief Accountant and then in 2002 as Finance Director. In 2008 he decided to have a year in further processing and took up the role of Group Finance Director at Cumbrian Seafoods.

The lure of aquaculture was too much however and he moved back to Scotland to act as Chief Financial Officer for The Scottish Salmon Company (now Bakkafrost) before going full circle and joining the feed company, BioMar, first as Financial Director and since 2021 as MD. He is now pursuing a fractional career filling the gaps in his work schedule with golf, travel, family life and doing all those things you always wanted to do but could never find the time.
