SAIC Cyber Essentials accreditation

SAIC became Cyber Essentials accredited in August 2026 following its establishment as an independent organisation in April.

SAIC is proud to have achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation, a UK Government-backed certification that demonstrates an organisation has essential cyber security controls in place to protect against the most common online threats.

Cyber Essentials is supported by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and focuses on five key areas: firewalls, secure configuration, access controls, malware protection and security updates

For an small, independent organisation like SAIC, Cyber Essentials accreditation provides important assurance that we are taking a proactive and responsible approach to safeguarding information, systems and services. It strengthens our ability to protect sensitive data, reduces cyber risk and reinforces confidence among funders, partners and stakeholders.

As an organisation in receipt of Scottish Government funding, achieving Cyber Essentials demonstrates our commitment to meeting recognised security standards, protecting public resources and maintaining good governance.
