Dr Aleksei Krasnov

Aleksei completed an MSc at the University of Petrozavodsk (Russia) and a PhD at the University of Kuopio (Finland). He has worked for 35 years in fish biology, environmental and aquaculture research; and since 2006 he has been a Senior Scientist in the Norwegian Institute of Food, Fisheries and Aquaculture Research (NOFIMA). Aleksei’s principal scientific interest is functional genomics and bioinformatics and their application to studies of fish immunity, diseases, nutrition, growth and development.
