Scotland’s Innovation Centres have teamed up with The Herald for a special, one-day, online conference to explore innovation, inclusive growth, cultural change around climate action, and ultimately, how collaboration could achieve national net zero targets.
The ‘Scotland’s Countdown to COP26’ event will mark one year until COP26, the UN climate change conference that will take place in Glasgow in 2021. It will be first time a COP summit has met in the UK and will be the one of the largest events Scotland has ever hosted, so the eyes of the world will be on us.
SAIC, along with Scotland's other Innovation Centres, is hosting a themed session, focusing on specific collaboration opportunity areas. This conference will explore Scotland’s opportunity and how Scottish businesses and organisations can collaborate and respond in the run up to COP26. Opportunities exist to learn lessons from COVID-19 and take action to create a prosperous, safer, and greener world. Doing nothing is not an option: emission reductions witnessed in 2020 may just as easily rebound unless longer-term actions are established to bring lasting change.
SAIC's themed session is titled Sustainable Food From Land and Sea and will include a panel session exploring opportunities for sustainable growth and collaboration in the aquaculture, agriculture and land use sectors, as well as four exciting sessions covering key topics for sustainable food production.
The event is free to attend and will be taking place virtually - meaning you have access to some excellent speakers and topics from the comfort of your desk!Find out more and book your place
