We are delighted to welcome three new members to Team SAIC; Susan Ward, David Macfarlane and Hazel Peat.

Susan Ward is SAIC’s new Office Manager and PA to the CEO, Heather Jones. Susan has 20 years’ experience in the Higher Education sector and in industry, most recently in operations management and planning at the University of Edinburgh’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Susan is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and her specialist skills include recruitment and selection, project management and customer service delivery. Susan is looking forward to supporting Heather and the team in meeting their ambitious goals to empower students and industry partners alike to facilitate growth in the Scottish aquaculture sector.

David is a creative professional of 20 years. He has managed teams of graphic designers in fast-paced agency environments, and has successfully launched and managed his own agency, providing design and creative services to corporate clients across all sectors since 2010. His role at SAIC is to support the team by providing quality graphic design to presentations and communications, and to strengthen and develop the brand by ensuring a consistent style across all marketing activities.

Hazel joins us as Events and Marketing Manager and brings with her over 10 years of experience, most recently in the renewable energy industry, organising everything from small, specialist workshops to large, international exhibitions, supporting these events with targeted marketing campaigns. Hazel is looking forward to working with the team to deliver an interesting portfolio of diverse workshops and conferences, as well as getting involved in a variety of communications projects to raise awareness of the Scottish aquaculture industry.
